Ready for – Helping individuals explore and enter a new industry
Ready for Construction and Social Care are short online training courses designed to support adults in exploring growth sectors and deciding whether a career in one of these could be for them.
The courses are available for public funding as part of the Adult Education Budget (AEB), UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), Sector-based Work Academy (SWAP) and Bootcamps.
- A 3-hour digital course for adults aged 19+
- An introduction to the industry to encourage adults to study towards a career in the sector
- Helping adults with training by creating a bridge into employment or a new industry.
Adults will:
- Discover the breadth of job opportunities in construction and the attitudes behaviours and skills employers are looking for when recruiting.
- Complete a self-reflection task to identify if they have what it takes to work in construction or social care.
- Receive job search tips from employers to help them stand out when they are ready to start looking for a job.
- Earn a digital credential upon completion of the course to showcase achievement and interest in working in construction or social care, share on social media and put on their CV.
